Pixie stix

I got the kids those big pixie stix at the park and when we got to my mom's, she put them in a bowl for each of them. Emma was holding hers and jumping on the trampoline and kinda lost it all and Tristan left his in clear view of Emma and she dumped his so they proceeded to eat it OFF of the trampoline, yummy!

Freestone playdate:)

Cassie and I decided we would would take the kids to Freestone park on Friday while we were waiting for babysitters to go see Kelley and the Emery. They had a special going and the kids got wristbands and had a blast! It really was so much fun to watch them having tons of fun. The train runs every half hour so we ended up riding it 3 times. Here is Boston and Tristan on the train:)

Emma and I
I think this was their favorite ride, they rode it a million times! I think that it might have been the button on the jet ski's that made the most annoying sound ever.... I would hate to be the guy that controls that ride every week end.
The boys loved the ferris wheel but Emma was NOT having it. She went one time around:)
It was so much fun! I kind of want to do it like every weekend! We will see...

Save the toes for another day....

So Kelley, Jen , Cassie, and I were going to pamper ourselves today and get mani's and pedi's, sounds fun right? Well I text Kel this morning and Preston text back saying her water broke at 6 this morning and she was kinda gone have her baby..... I am so excited for her!!!! She is like 2 weeks early so hopefully it will be a piece o' cake and not a 2 hour long nightmare I like to call " Tristan's birth." I will update all when I hear, which will probably be soon since I talkes to Preston like 30 minutes ago and she was ready to go:)

Kitchen Project Done!

Well for the most part done:) My Mom and I have been working on my cabinets for like a month now, mostly because she works and can only help me on Friday's. We took the cabinet doors off and she sanded them down. Then we painted them white( I know, same as before but a different white). Then I spent forever distressing them and then stained them with danish oil and this is how it turned out.

I LOVE IT!!! I feel so proud of myself that I did this and they actually look good! Plus the room is so much brighter now. The red made everything seem so dirty all time. Im like obsessed with keeping it clean too so that has been an awesome plus to this project:)

There is still alot to be done but there will always be another project waiting. For now, I'm so happy with the results and so happy I didnt have to spend thousands of dollars on new cabinets, I just gave my 25 years old cabinets a face lift:)

Project Kitchen

We have lives in our house for a little over 4 years now and for the first year the whole house stayed white, except Tristan's room, but only because my brother and sister in law did it for me. So when I finally decided to paint, I was loving the Americana look and this is what I ended up with. My cabinets were white already, super dingy white, but white to say the least. I added a red stripe around the edge of the cabinets to tie them in with the decor. There are no windows in my kitchen/family room area so with the added dark paint job, it was such a dark room.

I had my sister in law, Kelli, come over and help me primer it so I could repaint it tan.

Here is Emma thinking she is helping and ended up with paint on her pj's. Also in the process, Tristan stepped in the paint tray and trailed to the bathroom where he was trying to clean it off thinking I wouldn't find out but the little foot prints down the hall were kind of a tell....

Here is the familyroom with the primer. I moved the kitchen table in here and I am painting it black to go with everything else. My uncle is coming to get the piano so this room will be pretty empty, I have to figure out what to do since the tv is in the living room and it might be kind of difficult to move Mike's "pride and joy," as he calls it.
