Emma's 4th Birthday

Emma turned 4 LAST year and wanted to have a Sweet Dreams Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. We had all her friend come in their pj's and we watched "Sweet Dreams" and then opened presents and ate cake.


Emma's current obsession is Littlest Pet shop animals and pretty much any stuffed animal dog! She loves pets and one day we will get her a puppy but I think I will give her a baby sister first and THEN we will move on to pets later so I don't loose my mind!
Here are all the girls eating popcorn and watching the movie in their pj's. They had a blast!
Here is the amazing cake my Aunt Lee Ann made for her! She loved it! Emma has always been my little cuddle buddy and I'm glad she hasn't grown out of it and hope she never does! She is always so concerned with others feeling and just wants everyone to be happy. She is the sweetest little girl and I know will be the best big sister ever!

Halloween (yeah I know!)

So I never got around to Halloween but there were some pictures that were so cute I have to show them! Tristan wanted to be Batman and Emma wanted to be Strawberry Shortcake. I love that the character's that I was obsessed with when I was little are all coming back! Although, I saw a NEW version of a Rainbow Bright doll at Target and she looked like a Bratz doll dressed up like Rainbow Bright! It looked nothing like her! A little disappointed I must say! I made these witches for Emma's preschool class. It was my 1st attempt at a cute treat so they didnt turn out exactly like I had hopes but cute nonetheless:)

Tristan originally had a fabric mask that came with the costume and then we found this one and it was SO much better! He loved being Batman, he still wears the costume around the house!

"Let Me Out Now!"

So Tristan got sent to his room and we had flipped the locks so we could lock them in when necessary. After a while I went back to check on him and this is what I found outside his door! He had taken his soccer shorts and written "Let me out now!" and stuffed them under his door! It was one of those moments where you know you should be mad that he ruined his shorts on TOP of being a total brat but I couldn't stop laughing! Needless to say he did not get in trouble and I am saving these shorts in a plastic bag so we can keep the memory alive:)

Tristan Graduation and 6th Birthday

I decided I am not going to go back forever and try to catch up but I will go over some important days:) Tristan graduated from kindergarten in May! I can't believe he is starting 1st grade next week! Time fly's too fast! Kindergarten still made him seem so young and then he was reading and writing, and now 1st grade! I am excited and sad at the same time!





They did a musical number and it was so funny and cute! It was a rapping version of 3 little pigs. He kept saying " I made you laugh really hard with my sunglasses and thumbs up huh mom!"

Tristan also turned 6 in May and wanted a Mario birthday party. We just had a family party this year at the park and it was fun! I used my giant cupcake pan and made it into a Super Mario Mushroom. It turned out really cute! I love this little boy! He is so smart and sweet and loves to help with anything he can. At this point in time he is obsessed with playing video games whether it's on the Wii or Ds! Hopefully starting school again will spark the creativity again!

My baby bookworm...

Emma was playing with my glasses the other day and I took this picture and did a little editing and it is SO cute so I had to show everyone! She is my little baby bookworm now! She started preschool yesterday and already loves her teacher and class friends!






I am so excited for her to start this new chapter in her life and the fact that I have 2 days a week where I have NO kids for 2 1/2 hrs isn't too shabby :) Love you Princess!

The Rawlins

Some of our good friends Gwen and Pace Rawlins came in town last week and we got to spend some time with them. It's always so good seeing them! We went out to dinner with them one night and went swimming with the mom's and kids. Sydney is so big now and gets so excited when she gets to play with Tristan and Emma! They love when she come to visit! Sydney is kind of Emma's little best friend and she has missed her! This is this a picture that took a few trys for Emma to cooperate but it ended up cute!
This was the 1st take and Emmas just kept making goofy faces instead of smiling so i scolded her.....
and this is what I was getting after that! Sydney was all smiles as you can see from the 1st picture :)
Emma wanted to float and get a tan like me so I gave her my raft for a minute:)

Gwen's sister Ashleigh and her baby Roman came too and thier cousin Michelle with her two adorable boys! It was so fun but of course they had to go home and we wont see them til Christmas so let's start planning the next date night now and we will plan to go to a resaurant that is open this time k guys!

Melodie and Keith are getting married !

Congrats to my sis in law Melodie! She is getting married to Keith Lewis on October 17th! Bring on the zebra and turquoise!

Cason Joshua Ellis 7-16-09

Some of our best friends Josh and Heather had their 1st baby on 7-16-09 and we are so excited for them! They tried for 2 yrs. for this baby and he is a cutie! They named him Cason Joshua, he was a big boy with bright red hair!
We thought this was so cute the way he was sleeping with his fingers latched :)
Emma LOVES babies! She is always asking to hold them and asking me when I will have a baby so she can hold it all the time!

Tritan's 1st Day Of School

I cant beleive I havent blogged since April! Well alot has happened in the last like 6 months so I will catch you up:) T started kindergarten this year and he is loving it! He did get a yellow light and red light his first week of school but he has been really good since. He had a new "girlfriend" the first day of school and seems to spend most of his time with her....I am REALLY enjoying having just Emma at home, she is pretty easy to keep entertained and it is definately quieter around here. I thought I was going to be able to keep it together dropping him off that 1st day and I did really well until I hit Guadalupe on the drive home and just broke down bawling! It took me a couple of days to adjust but now we are good!

Carrie's getting married

My sister in law Carrie is engaged to John Snyder! They got engaged on Valentines Day,same as us, and are getting married on May 8th. We are so excited for them and are excited to have John as the newest member of our ever growing family! We love you two!

Tristan

Tristan is our little creative man, he takes after Mike in that. He was drawing a picture of Mike and I and this is what it turned out to look like. The circles on his arms are his muscles and the stick in his hand is a golf club,cause if you know mike, he would sleep with his clubs if he could....and me,well, apparently im sitting on a boat, i dont know....funny kid!

Remembering Jason...

As most of you know, Jason Tolman passed away in his sleep on January 2nd. He leaves behind a pregnant wife, Kelly, and 3 kids, Karsen, Morgan, & Harley. Please keep this family in your prayers during this difficult time, thanks!

THAT time of the year...

So its that time of the year when the air gets chilly, the leaves turn yellow and fall off the tree, and my family gets the stomache flu... Tristan always seems to be the first to get it. His teacher called me and said Tristan had run back and forth to bathroom so she went to check on him and was sitting on the floor with him head in the toilet. Hey at least I taught him well huh?! Poor kid! So I went and got him and put him in some pj's and set him up with crackers and sprite all comfy in his bed watching tv. I love this season of the year but I loath THIS time of the year, so wish me luck!

Potty Training, YAY!!!

I have been wanting to get Emma potty trained FOREVER! We ran out of diapers and I decided I wasnt going to buy anymore so I put some panties on her. She went through a few pairs before bed and actually woke up dry so I thought we would possibly have a good day. This morning she went through 3 more pairs before she finally went in her little toilet. I was so excited! The prospect of no more diaper changing is amazing! Then like 10 minutes later she ran out and said she pooped and sure enough she did! I am so excited for her (and me) and she is so excited to wear big girl panties, she even has a potty dance that she does every time she goes in the toilet, its so cute!

Now she just needs to figure out how to pull them up all the way:)

Christopher Judge

Most of you know that my father in law owns a video game company that is producing the Stargate Worlds MMO game and Mike is and artist on the game. Every once in a while we get to meet celeb's that invest so that is really fun! We got to meet Christopher Judge from the tv series Stargate SG1 and had dinner with him. He is the nicest guy ever! It's really fun to meet people you see on tv, kinda wierd too:) Above is my bro and sis in law, Krishelle & Ansou.

Chuck E Cheez

So like 2 moths ago(im a little behind haha) we met up with Jen & Kempton at Chuck E Cheez and Joanna & Candice and their girls. It was so fun to catch up with them even though I was only there for like .2 seconds after they got there! They have the cutest little families and I feel so fortunate to still have a ton of friends that I am still in contact with! Jen and I have known each other for about 20 yrs! Thats insane but I love it! Anywho here are some cute pics from the occasion:)

I really want to get Emma in some dance classes this year and Tristan on a team like soccer or baseball or something. Emma will be 3 in December and T is 4. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can look or who I can talk to? Thanks:)
